We have sent out new postcards with brand new prices!!! We all know that last year was a tough one for the nursery industry. Even though the customers waned we kept on growing. As a result we have a surplus of some good looking material. Thank God, the customers have picked back up and some are doing much better this year than last. Our new pricing postcard reflects items that are in surplus at the nursery. Now is the time to take advantage of these great deals! If you did not receive a postcard in the mail call us a 1865-524-0908 and we will send one to you!

Also readers of this blog and members of our facebook page will be receiving weekly discounts on plant material!

Congratulations Sam

Yes, Sam usually writes these blogs but since he won't toot his own horn, I have decided to toot it on his behalf. Sam was honored at the TNLA meeting in Pigeon Forge as the 2010 Young Nursery Professional.
Sam attended U.T.K. and Graduated with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape design. Since graduating from college he has taken an active roll in the business and operates a growing farm known as our New Market location. Sam brings new and fresh ideas to Kinsey Gardens. Congratulations Sam!!!!
Go visit Sam and the rest of the family and stock up on material for spring! It will be here any day!

Green Giant Arborvitae

Kinsey Gardens is gearing up for Spring and we have several exciting announcements coming in the future, so stay tuned to this blog. We are moving into the computer revolution finally (yes, we know, a bit late) We are nurserymen to the core and enjoy all of the outside aspects of the nursery and nature. When it comes to technology we admit we have been living in the stone ages at our own accord. It is finally time to pull out the computer and move with the times to take advantage of the enourmous marketing opportunites that exist through social networking. Through our blog we will be letting you in on what is going on at the Nursery. You will learn about what we have to offer you in terms of plant material. This will hopefully help you select your garden center or landscape stock more appropriately. This is also a blog so expect to hear some musings and ETC.

2010 promises to be an eventful and exciting year at the nursery as the economy has forced us to look at new and innovative ideas to make your shopping experience more pleasant and our plant varieties more appealing. We are committed to offering only the hardiest of plants for your selection as usual, but will be on the look out for new plants that you may find useful in your design. We are committed to customer service and hope that you find us pleasing to work with.

The plant of the week is Green Giant Arborvitae. If you haven't tried this tree or are still using Leylands in your design you should try it now. We planted a really nice screen at our house several years ago and we could not have been more pleased with the results. The growth rate is fast yet it does not have many of the shortcomings of Leylands. It is tolerant of a variety of soils and maintenance free. It is also disease and pest resistant. We have great looking plants on hand and encourage you to try them out.
